Empowering Haringey Teenagers for the Future Economy

A practical and inspiring programme designed to help young people build the digital, creative, personal and social skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. The world our young people are growing into is changing quickly. Technology, artificial intelligence, creativity and new ways of working are reshaping education, careers and everyday life. Empowering Haringey Teenagers for the Future Economy is designed to give young people the confidence, skills and experiences they need to prepare for that future. The programme goes beyond traditional learning. Through practical activities, group projects, discussions and enjoyable social experiences, participants will have opportunities to explore areas such as digital skills, data, artificial intelligence, creativity, communication and problem-solving. But preparing young people for the future is about more than technology. We also want them to develop the confidence, emotional resilience, leadership skills and positive relationships that will help them navigate school, further education, employment and life. Sessions are designed to be engaging, supportive and enjoyable, creating an environment where young people can learn, experiment, ask questions, discover their strengths and build meaningful friendships. What Young People Can Expect 1. Digital & AI skills – introducing young people to technology and the opportunities emerging from AI and the digital economy. 2. Creativity & problem-solving – encouraging imagination, innovation and new ways of thinking. 3. Music & drama – developing confidence, expression and communication through creative activities. 4. Confidence & leadership – helping young people recognise their strengths and develop their voice. 5. Emotional resilience – supporting wellbeing, self-awareness and the ability to manage challenges. 6. Games & group activities – learning teamwork and relationship-building while having fun. 7. Trips & experiences – opportunities to explore, learn and experience something different. 8. Food & social time – creating a relaxed environment for young people to connect and build friendships. Who Is It For? The programme is aimed at young people aged 11 and above in Haringey who want to develop new skills, explore their potential and prepare themselves for the opportunities of the future. No previous experience with technology or AI is required. Curiosity and a willingness to participate are enough. The future economy will need more than qualifications. It will need confident, creative, adaptable and digitally aware young people.
